About us
"Moms Taking Action" is a grassroots effort that started with a letter and three grieving moms who lost their American sons on the battlefields of Ukraine. We are 12 (and counting) strong moms united!!
Losing a child is a pain that no parent should ever have to endure. Losing a child on the battlefield in a foreign land adds another level of heartbreak and complexity to the grieving process. The families of the fallen American soldiers must navigate through a sea of conflicting emotions, from pride in their loved one's service to anger at the circumstances that led to their deaths. The grief and heartache are compounded by the political complexities surrounding their loved one's sacrifice. Amid sorrow, there is strength found in unity.
Our goal is to bring together families of the fallen soldiers and those currently serving to share stories, grief, resources, friendship, and leadership. We hope that by sharing the stories of our fallen and highlighting the American ideals they embodied, lawmakers will listen and move to ensure that lack of gear, weapons, and other resources is no longer a common cause of death for those fighting this unwanted war.
Together, we stand as a powerful force for change and support for each other during this difficult time. We are "Moms Taking Action" - united in our grief and our determination to ensure that our children's sacrifices are never forgotten or in vain.
Our initiatives include
1. Influence lawmakers to support war aid to Ukraine which is rooted in the belief that every nation deserves the right to defend itself against aggression.
2. Partner with other organizations to collaborate, pool resources, share expertise, and achieve greater impact.
2. Develop a web platform sanctuary for comfort, understanding, communication, resources, stories, and pictures for the families of the fallen and currently serving.
"Moms Taking Action" stands united in our commitment to continue the efforts of our fallen children and provide a haven for family members of the fallen and currently serving. We invite you to join us.
